Where the job actually happens.

{{ baseCountWord }} crew bases at {{ airlineName }}, and the pay is identical in all of them. Nothing else is. What a house costs, what the winter is like, which children's hospital is twenty minutes away, whether you can get home on a Tuesday night: all of that changes the moment you cross a state line. Tell us what your family is actually solving for, and the list reorders itself.

Read this first

Scores are a sorting tool, not a verdict. They take public data (home prices, tax rates, school ratings, hospital rankings, published departure counts) and compress it into a 0 to 100 comparison so the tradeoffs show up fast. Use them to narrow the field, then read the sections underneath. Your situation is not the median.

What the numbers mean

Every factor is scored 0–100

Each score sits on a fixed national scale, not a curve across the cities on this page. A 45 means the same thing here as it does on any other airline's page, so you can carry a number from one carrier to the next.

Higher is always better for you

Each factor points the same direction. An 88 on housing cost means your money goes further; an 88 on safety means it is safer; an 88 on airport drive means a shorter commute to report.

Fit is a weighted average

With five priorities picked, your #1 counts five times, #2 four times, down to #5 counting once. Only the factors you picked feed the number.

Order matters: your #1 pick carries the heaviest weight, #2 the next, down to #5. Click a sixth and the oldest pick drops off. Hover any priority to see exactly what that factor measures. Scores compress public data (home prices, tax rates, school outcomes, hospital rankings, published departure counts) and are a sorting tool, not a verdict.

Dollar caps are indexed every year and counties assess differently, so treat these as planning figures and confirm with the assessor before you buy. A rating that is expected but not yet awarded is not a basis to stretch on a house.

Set a budget. See what it buys.

Every neighbourhood here trades one thing for another: school district against price, price against how long you sit in the car before report. Set what you can spend and what matters, and the list reorders. Move the map above and the list narrows to that part of the metro.

Charter and magnet options vary by district: the charter picture is covered in the private and charter section above. School locations come from OpenStreetMap. A hollow pin means the location is approximate, placed at the town centre rather than the campus; the school link always goes to the right place. Every bar runs 0 to 100 and higher is always better for you: green is good, yellow is okay, red is the price you are paying. The scale is national and fixed, so these bars mean the same thing on any carrier's page. The written profile always outranks the bar.
